Philsophical Topics

This is a survey course that introduces you to a wide range of philosophical topics as well as different philosophical traditions/methods.
For each week, there will be one main reading and an (500-700 word) assignment due before each seminar (except one).
Doing well in the assignments requires not only close reading of the main text, but also background and other supplementary reading.
An additional short 1,500-word essay due in the middle of the semester. This will allow you develop some critical thoughts that you have had during the semester.

For this week, we will discuss a classic paper in Philosophy of Mind.
